A hungry 1-1/2-horsepower induction motor provides all the power you need to rip through any hardwood. Because it's V-belt driven, you won't feel a hint of vibration in the ample cast-iron table. Steel extensions give you a full 40-1/2-by-27-inch table surface, but your work capacity is greater than that, thanks to the heavy-duty fence system that lets you rip up to 30 inches right of the blade. We really like the new see-through blade guard because it locks in the upright position when you're changing blades--and then it releases automatically when the insert is replaced. Clever! Delta's also come up with a nice auto-set miter gauge with positive stops at 45 and 90 degrees.
